Statement

I began painting around age 10.  I fondly recall my first classes in a rustic barn in Saddle River, NJ.  My interest and love of painting continued through the years.  I received my BFA from Ithaca College and enjoyed a summer studying in Italy.

Common to many artists, life and business career greatly interfered with studio time, but I managed to experiment with mediums beside oil occassionally and had a pottery studio over the years.  Now, happily enjoying retirement, I’ve been able to return to painting and venture into plein air in addition to studio painting.

We never stop learning either through formal instruction or each other.  As part of the River Valley Artists in the lower Connecticut River Valley I continue to learn from others while enjoying our plein air gatherings, as well as more formal classes.  My journey, thus far, has taken me from ‘non-objective abstract’ (college days) to landscape and still life.  I hope you enjoy my creations.

I live in Essex, CT with my husband, Jeff, and our rescue pup, Gus.
